Know Your Skin Type | Enjoy Sunlight Responsibly

Skin Type Quiz

The skin type quiz will help you to understand your skin in order to maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of too much or too little UV exposure.
Skin Type 2

Skin Type II

A Skin Type II will sunburn easily, but can develop a tan. The ability to tan differentiates this group from Skin Type I.

Recommendation

Although a Skin Type II is able to achieve a tan, it will need to develop over time, and the most important thing to avoid is overexposure. The CEO at your local Fabutan tanning salon will be able to help determine an exposure schedule that will allow a Skin Type II to achieve the color they want.

For a deep dark tan, we suggest utilizing the new Mystic Tan HD sunless spray tan system in combination with our sun beds. The initial sun bed session for a Skin Type II will likely be between 5-8 minutes.

In most cases, a Skin Type II has the natural ability to very easily absorb UVB through their skin, but it can be difficult for all skin types to absorb UVB at a high enough degree to maintain adequate Vitamin D blood levels in North America year-round. Following a sun bed exposure schedule set out by a Fabutan CEO will help to maintain or increase Vitamin D levels, especially during the dark winter months.

If you’re unsure of your Vitamin D blood level, consult your doctor.
